New Orleans, LA – August 23, 2010 – City Council President Arnie Fielkow announces that his new website is now online. Updated several times a day, Fielkow.net is a comprehensive web-based resource that gives New Orleanians access to the most current news coming out the Council President’s office, from press release to published articles and video.
The website links to dozens of other sites in an effort to drive constituents to web-based resources throughout the City, from the airport’s website flymsy.com to the Housing Authority of New Orleans, HANO.org, and many more. A calendar, which is constantly updated, is also available and can be synced with anyone’s personal Gmail calendar.
Going a step further, fielkow.net allows for the Council President to host live Town Hall meetings in which he will respond to real time questions and comments from constituents. The website will have upcoming Town Hall dates and times listed. Social networking will also be incorporated into the new site.
“I am thrilled to be able to offer this hi-tech site to citizens across New Orleans and to anyone interested in what our City Council is up to. I am always looking for new ways to reach out to people, and the internet is a tool that broadens my communication abilities beyond anything else available. We are updating the site constantly, and I hope people use it as a real resource,” said Councilmember Fielkow.
Fielkow.net also delivers basic background information on Councilmember Fielkow and his staff as well as contact information for everyone in his office. The robust site was built by Morgan & Co, a local marketing and communications firm.
