City Council President Arnie Fielkow and Tulane President Scott Cowen founded the Fleur de Lis Ambassador Program after Hurricane Katrina to spread the message that New Orleans is an economically viable, livable city with a long-range recovery plan in progress; to seek additional support in our recovery from business and philanthropic organizations.
Yet, key economic, social, and environmental trends in the New Orleans metro area remain troubling, testing the region’s path to prosperity.
