Today, the New Orleans City Council adopted the 2011 Capital and Operating Budgets for the City of New Orleans. The Council also adopted Ordinances to adjust the property tax millage rate and the sanitation service charge for 2011.

The co-chairs of the New Orleans Recreation Department Citizens Advisory Panel (NORD CAP) are calling on citizens who have concerns about the proposed change in recreation services to learn the facts about what is up for vote on October 2nd.
Today, the Bureau of Governmental Research, BGR, endorsed the amendment of the Home Rule Charter of the City of New Orleans to reconfigure the governance of City recreation services and facilities.
Today, an ordinance was unanimously passed by the New Orleans City Council to establish the membership composition and length of terms of membership for the proposed New Orleans Recreation Development Commission.
